MatchLedger
Cash application, minus the project
For teams who still match payments by hand

Cash application without the implementation project.

Upload your bank transactions and your open invoices. Get proposed matches in seconds, including lump-sum payments applied across several invoices. Review, confirm, export.

No integration · No sales call · No six-month rollout

Thank you. You are on the list, and I will reply personally within a day or two.

Works with exports from NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero, or anything that makes a CSV.

The €2,000 arrived with no invoice number. MatchLedger found the combination in one pass.

If this is your morning, this page is for you

Two things real people wrote, in their own words. They are why this exists.

“My senior accountant logs into the bank every morning to see who paid us and manually applies the cash to open invoices. 300+ customers. Crazy slow.”

accountant · healthcare services firm

“Customers pay several invoices in one lump sum with zero reference. I sit there with a calculator working out which amounts add up.”

owner · B2B services

How it works

Four steps. The longest one is finding the export button in your accounting system.

  1. Upload two files.Your bank statement export and your open-invoice list. CSV or Excel, straight from your ERP or bank portal.
  2. Get proposed matches.Exact references matched instantly. Fuzzy references resolved. Lump sums solved as invoice combinations, including partial payments and early-payment discounts.
  3. You confirm. It never guesses silently.Every match shows its reasoning and a confidence level. Anything uncertain goes to an exception list for your review.
  4. Export the applicationsas a CSV formatted for your accounting system to import.

Why it is different

The category is not empty. It is split between software that costs a salary and software that needs your customers to change how they pay.

Security, honestly

MatchLedger never connects to your bank or your ERP. You upload exports; you download results. Your credentials stay yours. For many firms this is not a limitation. It is the reason compliance signs off.

Questions you should ask

What is your match rate?

On payments that carry a reference, effectively 100%. On unreferenced lump sums it depends on your data. That is why the first thing I do in early access is run your sample file and show you the real number before you pay anything.

Does it post into my accounting system?

Version one exports an import-ready file. Direct posting comes later, only if early users want it.

What does it cost?

Early-access pricing is $199 per month, flat and locked for founding users. No per-transaction fees, no seats, no quote calls.

D

I work in finance, and I kept seeing the same thread: people applying payments by hand because their system chokes on lump sums with no reference. The enterprise tools cost a salary; the cheap ones need your customers to change their behaviour. So I am building the narrow thing that sits in between.

If you deal with this, I would genuinely like to see one of your real (or anonymised) files and tell you the match rate. No pitch attached.
